An End of an Era... Yes folks, the rumors are true...After almost 200 appearances across the nation, The Chicago Kings are taking a final bow as a membership-based drag king troupe. With a smirk beneath our 'staches and a tear in our eyes, this tight group of 30+ performers has chosen to part ways in search of new adventures and future flings. We will take the stage as a troupe for the final time on Friday, December 16 th at the Metro. This event concludes our five year journey with a bang, showcasing the large ensemble pieces that have gained us an international reputation in the queer community. Individual performers from the Chicago Kings will undoubtedly still be seen hamming it up on stages near and far, and Bloody Mary Productions (the production company behind the troupe) will still be producing drag-focused events about town. So many people have helped us on our way, and in turn have helped change this community. We especially want to thank our fans and volunteers for all the love - from the phone #s to the photo ops...from the smooches and standing ovations to the tips & ticket sales....None of this would have been possible without your generosity and support!
